Unsurprisingly, ABC has cancelled low-rated crime drama Wicked City after just three episodes.
As Deadline reports:
ABC’s Wicked City has become the first new series this fall to be yanked off the schedule. After a low-rated premiere followed by two consecutive ratings drops, most recently a -43% Week 3 dive to a 0.4 Live+same day rating among adults 18-49, the period thriller is being cancelled. Production on the show will stop after completing Episode 8, which is currently filming. Starting next Tuesday, Nov. 17, Shark Tankreruns will air in Wicked City‘s 10 PM slot.
RIP.

So that means only 3 episodes have aired up to the 17th.. will they show the other 5… are they wrapping the story up at episode 8 or just typically leaving a cliffhanger never to be concluded?
RenewCancelTV says
HA! (love the name), hopefully they will provide some sort of ‘closure’, however rushed, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ended without any resolution – or indeed, if the other five never saw the light of day. We’ll keep you posted.

Any chance they will be shown on Hulu? I think it was a little too explicit for network tv, but I was drawn in to the storyline!

As usual, one of my favorite shows got cancelled before it even had a chance. Wicked City was really a good show.

i’m glad there is someone else out there who is over the age of thirteen! shows that require an adult mind to follow just don’t seem to last long. – i think i’ll go back to reading!

WOW, you must be a comedian. It was a show about a serial killer. Why does he does that, just cause no reason. Seriously, the writing also was bad. Made the worst cops on TV. If good television is about making shows like wicked city, then…well then we don’t need your view then goodbye

Why does he does that??????????? And your talking about bad writing. Thanks try hard person on a website. Actually the acting was pretty good. Though it was only 3 season’s in, i could say i was enjoying the tv series and liking it more then other things i watch on tv. Sorry you didn’t like it cause its abbbbbbbbout serial killers and stuff that’s crazy talk! STFU . GG ABC! You failed again. Or the writers couldnt keep up with the pace of this tv series, i know i couldnt.

“episodes” not season’s!
Cathy says
And I might add I think we deserve a conclusion to season 1!

I thought it was a great show . Hopefully we can see a ending to the show not just as it is now.

I was so devastated to hear that one of my favorite shows Wicked City is being cancelled after such a short time. This show was filled with such intrigue and captivating suspense. It was so refreshing to see such a great show compared to all of the crap that’s on now. There are only a handful of decent shows to watch as it is. You had a spectacular cast, including the young actor Ed Westlake who played Chuck on Gossip Girl. He has such charmisa and really brought something special to his character on the show. This role was made for him. Once again, I’m really going to miss this show.

I am very sad, that Wicked City has been cancelled. I loved the show. I am not a teenager, but I am young at heart. I am 69 years young. The show wasn’t given a chance.
If this is the case, please give us the ending, the final results. Great show!
Thank you,

Thank goodness Wicked City was cancelled. I gave up after the second show and was sincerely surprised to see the actress from Parenthhood stooping low enough to even consider being in that show. She is way above that grade. I’ve given up watching other shows that depict such graphic violence towards women. There is enough “wickedness” in the world without having to watch a show dedicated to it.

yeah, as a woman, sometimes it was a little hard to watch but i actually liked it and would have liked to see how it all played out!

Worst series ever. Too bad because I liked the actors.
