The Amazing World of Gumball Cancelled – No Season 7

The end is near for The Amazing World of Gumball. Creator Ben Bocquelet has decided to cancel the show after its upcoming sixth season.

In announcing his departure from the series in Season 6, Bocquelet said the story will be brought to closure:

“We’re bringing Gumball to its final episode at the end of season six.”

However, as noted by Bocquelet, Cartoon Network could yet decide to continue the series into Season 7 under a new creative force.

For now at least, Gumball will end with Season 6, but stay tuned for updates should Cartoon Network decide to extend the show’s run with new writers…
