Following the success of 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy in both the UK and Ireland, and internationally, adored Irish mammy Nancy and her thrill seeking son Baz are returning to Sky 1 for a second series, produced by Burning Bright Productions and Brown Bread Films. Distributed by Sky Vision, the first series has been acquired by broadcasters in over 100 territories including several format sales making this Sky Vision’s most successful factual entertainment property to date.
It was announced today that 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy has been nominated for a RTS Award in the Popular Factual and Features category.
Production has started on series two of the international bestselling show which sees the pair take on a fresh set of extraordinary adventures, all designed to open Mammy’s mind and blow her slippers off. This series will follow Baz and Nancy from Germany to Scandinavia, Mexico to Japan, India to Texas, and this time viewers will meet more of the family.
The format is currently in development by Discovery for their newly-launched US channel, Discovery Life and has been optioned by broadcasters in France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands. Broadcasters who have acquired the original series include Discovery Life Channel, Discovery Asia, SBS Australia, Choice TV New Zealand, Chellomulticanal in Spain, National Geographic Channels International for their Latin American feed, Evasion TV in Canada, M6’s digital channel Sixter, SVT Sweden, TV5 Finland, Polish channel, Polsat, Channel 8 Israel and Spektrum TV in Czech Republic.

50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy series 2 will air on Sky 1 later this year.
