The forecast “looks really good” for The Bridge Series 4 renewal.
Speaking to Digital Spy, writer Hans Rosenfeldt says the future of the nordic crime drama will be decided next month, but believes the renewal gods are leaning towards a positive outcome:
“We’re still thinking! There will be a decision in April. It looks good.
We’re in talks with broadcasters and it looks really good. It’s just a matter of time, because everybody’s schedule is really busy. Sofia has a lot to do, Thure has a lot to do, I have a lot to do! It’s just getting us all together. I think everyone wants to.”
While writing hasn’t yet started on Season 4, Rosenfeldt knows where the story will go next:
“We haven’t started writing it yet. We know where we ended so we know how to pick it up. Me and my colleague Camilla, we have vague ideas of where it should probably go.”
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of The Bridge Series 4…

Hi. Is this series related at all to the 2013-14 American series of the same name set on the U.S./Mexican border? If so, are the same production people involved in the two series? If so, is there a way to encourage those folks to renew the American series? I miss it.

Hi Michael – The American version of The Bridge is based on this Scandinavian series (also known as Broen/Bron).
The FX (US) version was cancelled due to low ratings. You could let your feelings be known to FX, but there doesn’t seem much chance of it being revived for a fourth season any time soon. Though, as always, we’ll continue to monitor the revival escape hatch and will post if we hear anything. Stay tuned…
