Red Rock Season 3 (Final Season)
Air Date: Monday 16 July at 1.45pm-2.30pm
Evening. The blaze at Harbour Haulage has been tackled, but Sgt Johno O’Riordan prevents owner Patricia Hennessy from entering the burnt-out scene.
A victim, identity and status unknown, has been found. Patricia fears one or both her sons, David and Michael, might have been caught up in the blaze, but must conceal Michael’s criminal motive for perhaps being there.Meanwhile, Keith Kiely has raced home desperate to wash any evidence connecting him to the fire. Interrupted by his father, Vincent, he just bins the trainers he was wearing. Then Keith is shaken to hear that someone was discovered inside Harbour Haulage. When Vincent spies Keith’s hidden petrol smelling runners he puts two and two together. He is horrified his son was stupid enough to do the job for Laser Byrne, and will be the prime suspect (due to the Kiely/Hennessy feud), potentially facing a charge for attempted murder on top of arson. Thank goodness Bridget is away in Spain for a few days.
Having let Michael Hennessy escape being shot, Robbie Scanlon rightfully fears Laser’s wrath, and not just for himself – the man is threatening Robbie’s vulnerable mother who is in a care home. Perhaps Robbie going on the run will spare her. But Laser is on the warpath, and even Patricia is not safe from his menaces.
There are changes at Red Rock’s Garda station. With Liam Reid’s confession to Brian’s murder believed, the investigation’s failures look foolish: the man ran the café yards from the station’s door, and officer Sean Holden is dating his elder daughter, Niamh – how was Liam’s guilt not obvious? So Detective Nikki Grogan has been transferred to Donegal, and Superintendent Kevin Dunne moves in to establish control. Who will be his deputy? (BBC)
