Per THR, TNT will release the entire 10-episode first season of Public Morals over the Labor Day holiday weekend:
Starting at noon Saturday and running through Monday night, TNT subscribers will be able to binge the series via TNT On Demand, TNTDrama.com and the Watch TNT mobile app as well as on participating TV providers’ platforms and apps.
The move comes after TNT offered the first four episodes of the freshman drama via VOD the day after the show’s Aug. 25 premiere.
While it remains to be seen whether this is truly a binge-friendly move or a burn-off en route to a swift cancellation, the cabler claims it to be the former:
“The message from the fans was very clear: They wanted to binge the whole season. And that’s what we’re doing this weekend. Binge-watching is clearly how a significant portion of the audience wants to watch these types of serialized shows. Making the whole season available was a perfect way to end the summer.”

This is an excellent well written period piece. If given the proper time this show could become a hit!

No, it won’t become a hit. This is a second hit and miss for period dramas for TNT. Remember Mob City? It was far better than Public Morals which is deriviative and foul solely for the purpose of being foul. I was out after the first episode because I could feel the audience erosion was going to be so significant in the weeks to follow it would be canceled. And after reviewing Nielsen ratings for the 18-49 demo, it seems That prediction was accurate. Premiere lead off with a 0.28 while the most recent episode was down to .11 in that demo. I predict no second season for PM.
I love TNT, but this was a swing and a miss. I would like to see them place their resources elsewhere.
