Jason Manford has revealed that the cast of Ordinary Lies have signed up for Series 2.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Manford confirmed that the cast are onboard for a second series of the car dealership drama, but warned that the show’s future ultimately hinges on whether the BBC decides to renew or cancel:
“As far as a second series is concerned, your guess is as good as mine really.
The numbers were good, the reviews are really great. It was trending online, people were talking about it the next day at work, which is what you want, the sort of water cooler chat.
And more importantly, we’re all contracted to do another series. That’s what they do, they sort of sign you up for two series. So it’s sort of on the BBC now, it’s then whether they want to do it or not.”
He added:
“To me, obviously it feels like a no-brainer, who knows what the weird process is of getting a second series, I have no idea.”
