Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Renewed For Season 2

The streaming giant has renewed The Witcher for season 2!

The news comes more than a month before season 1 is expected to hit the service on December 20.  It’s a big vote of confidence in the new show which is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels.

Netflix announced the good news on their Twitter:

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich provided the following statement:

“I’m so thrilled that before fans have even seen our first season, we are able to confirm that we’ll be returning to The Continent again to continue telling the stories of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri.”
