ITV has cancelled fantasy drama Jekyll and Hyde after just one series, due to declining ratings and a lack of domestic and global buzz – there will not be a second series, Broadcast reports:
Broadcast understands that the production team on the 10-part ITV Studios show have been told that there will be no second series, despite some pre-production work being done in preparation for a recommission.
Charlie Higson’s reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s iconic story made an explosive start in October, attracting 4.3m (18.9%) viewers and a blaze of publicity.
RIP.

anything that is interesting instead of just out there with overdone something usually gets cancelled… unfortunately. I was using this to recover from my Forever getting cancelled then this happened.

The dumbing down of America is in full force as represented by the reality drivel they keep shoving down our throats year after year in place of great new shows like this with fantastic stories, magical ideas/imagination and wonderful actors. I fear for our future if this reality GARBAGE is really what makes people happy. God help us all…

This is starting to become a common thing for these networks, bring in a good show for One Season
and BOOM!!! Your Gone. Every show needs more then just One Season to build on and get a good
ratings# that they claim is the reason for the Cancelled Stamp.
