EXCLUSIVE: FOX has quietly renewed The Gifted for Season 2, multiple sources inform RenewCancelTV.
Set in the X-Men universe, family adventure series The Gifted tells the emotional story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
The Gifted Season 2 is expected to premiere late 2018 on FOX.

It’s just Heroes Reborn with different characters. Nothing really new.

Yep. I watched the first episode but it didn’t offer anything really new or original from all the X-Men/Heroes/mutant kids movies and TV shows so I dumped it. I think that subgenre is mined out, although if there’s one thing Hollywood execs are good at, it’s taking a good idea and grinding it into dust through repetition.
