EXCLUSIVE: FOX has cancelled The Exorcist after two seasons, various insiders inform RenewCancelTV.
Despite earning a surprise renewal last term, the network has decided not to scare up a third season of the horror series.
The axe falls in the wake of the Disney-Fox deal which always looked likely to exorcise The Exorcist.
With the cancellation, the Dec. 15 Season 2 finale serves as the unplanned series ender.

I really can’t stand when these networks do this. I personally really liked it. Unlike some other shows, the second season was just as good as the first, if not better. They need to stop canceling good shows only to keep BS reality shows on for 30+ seasons…

This was EASILY the best show on FOX and one of the better shows on network TV. I’ll bet if you factored in the numbers from DVR, FoxNow, streaming, Hulu, and other sources, you’d find the numbers were there! Shame. Show was too good for network TV. C’mon Netflix or Amazon. Pick it up!

I love this show! You guys have to seriously start to factor in DVR users and watchers. I never watch it live it would scare the crap out of my 9yr old and I never watch anything live.
I’m about to give up on tv every show I like is being cancelled this season.

Fox def dropped the ball with this series. Potential to rival the big 3 in horror tv This season is so good! Maybe they should advertise. Hopefully when it’s officially canceled someone else will pick it up and give it the attn

I really enjoyed this show, I can not believe this, you net works, need to rethink this decision. Loved sitting back relaxing and seeing this show.
Stop the reality TV show, all they do scream, back stab one another. The act like Jr. High School Children’s.
Please, Please rethink this decision and lets have a third Season.
