No surprises here: David Goyer doesn’t believe NBC was the right network for his short-lived comic book adaptation Constantine.
Lamenting the cancellation of the series, the exec producer says the supernatural drama would have stood a better chance of Season 2 survival on a basic cable network, per Variety:
“I loved ‘Constantine. In retrospect, I don’t think it should have been on NBC. I think it was the wrong channel and I’m sure they probably agree with that as well.
“We almost doubled our numbers in DVR numbers, but they weren’t quite there in network television in counting those metrics,” he said. “If it had been on a basic cable channel, it could still be on.”

Go out and fight for Constantine. This show more than a lot of others deserves to be onTV. So get it back on or write for direct sales. I would by it!
