CBS has opted not to pay the Ransom.
The network has cancelled the drama after three seasons. The news that there will be no season 4 was released on the official twitter account:

Another show I enjoyed watching that they are taking away. I am so tired of getting interested in these shows and then they cancel them and usually replace them with some stupid show that is not interesting.

Really pissed at CBS right now! They keep canceling great series like Ransom and keep the boring NCIS show on that is way past it’s cancel date. That should have been cancelled after Ziva left. Keep doing this rap CBS and your viewers will just fade away.

OMG I was really hoping that Ransom would be renewed again… it is a super good show & this season 3 was excellent.
