I watch both but to be honest I think Defiance has had its day and is getting ‘samey’ and stale and certainly feel you have viewed the storylines before in other series. Dominion on the other hand is fresh and original and the first series in a longgggggg time which has me on the verge of obsession. Incredible potential for future FIRST CLASS ‘ on the edge of your seat’ entertainment . {sorry Defiance}.

Dominion of course In the begging was inspiring but now the Dominion´d plot is is a dead end. The writers they contradict themselves. A good clousure would be the best for it.
Defiance deserves a season 4. Its universe is amazing, mixing such differents elements, and promoves different values & stories.

Defiance! Not only is Dominion interesting but, in a way, it is also educational with many legitimate Biblical references. If that’s what it takes to get the people even slightly curious in the Bible, keep it going!

If we’re picking. Then Dominion. Season 2 has been pretty bad until these last couple episodes where it seems to have recovered somewhat. Defiance did acceptable most of the season and very well in the last couple episodes. Defiance had better reviews and ratings than Dominion, Killjoys, & Dark Matter. Easy choice…..but I would prefer if they both got renewed. If both ate it. Then i’ll be dropping Syfy again for awhile.

I have watched both. Defiance was interesting when it first came on but they failed to expand and so it got monotonous. Nolan was the only reason I continued to watch and you blasted him into outer space bringing it to an end for me… certainly looked like a series finale. Dominion is that dark edgy series I had been waiting for since the cancellation of SGU! Dominion S1 was introductory but S2 has been incredible. They have expanded to include other places and mentioning still others for us yet to explore. It deserves a chance to lead us to new places and explore story arcs teased at and yet to be told. I could see there being at least 5 incredible seasons to this brilliant story that the writers and producers deserve a chance to give us. The fans deserve to get to see it all play out! It is better than anything else on Syfy!

I have never watched Dominion, clashed with something else on UK TV, but have watched Defiance and enjoyed it. To me whatever series gets cancelled I wish they would plan better. This applies to ANY series not just these two. If a show gets cancelled at least do some finale episodes. Instead some series we are left high and dry with a lot of unanswered questions. Agree Defiance’s last episode could very well act as a finale.

“Dominion” was too good for Syfy: It shocked me a show of such high caliber was allowed through the muck and mire of that cookie-cutter cable-channel.
Now that Dominion has been zapped–I can block the Syfy Channel: Double-dipping as commercial-plus-pay TV is not enough for their greed; they need the illusion of high ratings in order to fleece their sponsors.
