David Boreanaz believes the future of Bones is uncertain, despite the confidence of showrunner Stephen Nathan over Season 11.
Bones Cancelled Or Renewed For Season 11?
With actor contracts up for renegotiation the end of Bones Season 10, Boreanaz says an eleventh season is currently based on “theory and hope,” but believes the ball is ultimately in Fox’s court.
He told Assignment X:
I think when we cross that bridge, we’ll have to see what happens, but it’s really up to Fox. They have to decide what they want to do. They’re the ultimate people that decide. I mean, someone can say, “I hope it comes back,” but there’s a lot of theory and hope. So I love Peter Rice, I love Fox, I love [Fox Television Group Chairmans/CEOs] Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman], I met with them through the BUFFY years, through the ANGEL years, through the BONES years, and I’m so excited and happy for them to be actually helping the network and the studio at the same time [Walden and Newman arrived at their current positions this year]. I think it’s smart on a business level and Peter is a very good friend of mine, and when it comes to business, it’s the love of the show and the value of where it is for them. It’s a very valuable show and when that time comes, and when they come to us and if they would like to do something, we’ll see what we do.

I enjoy the show from time to time it can make you really think about what just happened and how they arrive at the conclusion of the cases that they do. I can see where the studio make look at an end to the show due to lack of new material yet the way of new tech gadgets that pop up from time to time to help with the cases to be solved, are quite entertaining. Seeing the four main characters leaving at the end of the final season ender is a bit of a downer all though everybody are still around. The english shrink should be a regular as far as his bedside manner he is very clever in his approach to his patients well being. I myself would like another season or 2 . They do need to do some deep research on more science and criminal behavior to get deeper episodes that would draw a bigger audience and also get agent Booth to come clean about the clown issues .
