The delayed 12th and final season of Bones will premiere January 3, 2017, FOX has announced.
The 12-episode final chapter will see “the return of fan-favorite guest stars and squinterns, as well as an old flame from one of the team’s past.” Also look for a wedding, “an epic serial killer storyline”, a lumberjack contest, and Booth and Brennan’s marriage will be put to the test.
Said series creator and executive producer Hart Hanson says the series is bowing out with pride and paid tribute to the show’s fans:
“From the very first season, Bones was called ‘The Little Engine That Could.’ So we could not be prouder of ending up as Fox’s longest-running scripted drama. And we got there because of an insanely loyal, loud, lovely, lively audience.”
Will you miss Bones? Right time to bow out? Happy it got to end on its ‘own terms’?

I think their is more story even if bones and booth are not in it. It’s all about good writing.
I would like to see more seasons.

I would love to see more episodes but I would prefer if both Bones and Booth return along with all the regulars that haven’t been killed off. It would even be OK if everyone isn’t in the same place, the Jeffersonian, but collaborate on cases from wherever they are. Here’s hoping….

I haven’t missed an episode. I will miss the show a lot.
I’m glad the fans will get an ending.
Best wishes to everyone.
