Bones Cancelled, Not Ended Admits Creator: Series Demise ‘Wasn’t Our Decision’

Cancelled or ended? Despite getting a final season swansong, Bones creator Hart Hanson admits that the series was cancelled from above, per TheWrap.

“It wasn’t our decision [to end Bones]. We were told it was our last year. It wasn’t that we called the network and said, ‘We’d like to finish now.’

However, Hanson insists he’s not too bothered that time has been called on Bones:

I’m not sure anyone is terribly upset or terribly shocked it’s the last year. We had a really good run.”
