NBC has all but cancelled Aquarius after two seasons.
The network has dumped the remainder of the show’s low-rated second season to Saturdays from August 27, leaving the show’s Season 3 renewal hopes dead barring a miracle.
Showrunner John McNamara confirmed the move on Twitter and seems hopeful Aquarius can survive the reaper like it inexplicably did last time round, but that seems like wishful thinking.
#Aquarius update. Being moved to Saturdays; rest of Season 2 will air starting 8/27. We've survived this once… and will again. Semper Fi.

Should the cancellation axe fall as expected, it would leave Aquarius short of its five season plan.
Can Aquarius really pull off another great escape, or is the series already cancelled but concealed to keep viewers watching?
Stay tuned…
