Chris Carter remains defiant that the cancellation of The X-Files isn’t the end of the series as he sees it.
Speaking to TVLine, the creator refused to let go of the series, suggesting a new era has dawned despite the cancellation and loss of Gillian Anderson‘s Scully:
For me, it’s not an ending. It is, in a way, a beginning. So I don’t see it necessarily as a conclusion.
As for whether he can envision a spinoff that centers on Jackson:
[Laughs] No. People have asked me that question and right now, he is a 17-year-old kid dealing with the strangeness of his life and the idea that he would find any proscribed or limiting category in life is not unimaginable.
Will The X-Files remain in the cancellation reaper’s clutches, or is a 12th season revival or reboot really out there without Gillian Anderson/Scully?
Stay tuned as we monitor the cancellation escape hatch for any signs of life…
American Patriot says
From what I’ve seen on season 11 it is the end. None of the stories are about what the original series was. It flat out sucked!!!!!!!
