The CW has passed on its Supernatural spinoff series Wayward Sisters. Writer Bob Berens has opened up on the network’s decision:
I have some bad news. The CW has decided not to proceed with a series order for Wayward Sisters.
Honestly — I’m heartbroken. I’m confused. And, at least for the moment — I’m angry.
Getting the chance to branch out and explore this world and these characters within our #Supernatural universe this past year was the most enjoyable and exciting creative experience of my life. Seeing Jody, Donna, Claire, and Alex step it up to icon status, while overseeing the genesis of Patience and Kaia, was an unalloyed joy.
And it all began with you. I can’t imagine a higher honor than getting the chance to carry the torch of YOUR passion for this idea, for these women. I am, frankly, gutted that I couldn’t bring it all the way across the finish line for you.
You made that episode and that beautiful potentiality happen. You did it. And I will never stop being grateful to you for giving us that chance.

Sounds terrific!! Why didn’t they give it a chance Look how great Supernatural is & what a following it has! I think this would be equally as good with great writers, actresses & special effects!! Give it a try!!!!!!

I too was looking forward to this spin-off. The first spin-off several years back was not good, It had no heart. This spin-off was not given a chance to find its legs., CW has Premature
Cancellation Syndrome. They need to sit back and enjoy the promise and fruits of their labors by rethinking their decision. This cancellation was way too fast and that is the problems in our modern times. Hurry,Hurry,Hurry and then you collide with nothing. It’s a disappointment for sure.
