The Walking Dead eyes immortality. The upcoming eighth season will set up the “next 100 episodes,” potentially taking the AMC drama through Season 14, showrunner Scott M. Gimple assures TVLine:
“The end of this season is very much the end of a chapter. It’s about setting up this gigantic, epic tale to come — not only in Season 8, but beyond.”
And “beyond” could mean another seven seasons, Gimple thinks. He noted that the Season 8 premiere will be the show’s 100th episode, and he teased that it’ll be less about celebrating that milestone and “more about setting up the next hundred episodes.”

Myself children and grandchildren can’t wait to watch each show it’s a topic when we gather just talk over phone…. we all think less commercial or longer shows… I’m in my later years and drawing in to the show..

The present season really needs to be the last season – it is so boring now. Sometimes you can go an entire show without a zombie in it. Going on and on will just make it awful, just like The Simpsons.
