The house is still standing on UMC.
The Urban Movie Channel has renewed its original drama series A House Divided for a second season. The second season is already in production and will return to the AMC-backed streaming service next spring.
The series from creator Dan Garcia will add LisaRaye McCoy and Parker McKenna Posey in recurring roles.
Vice president at the streaming service Nikki Love had the following to say of the good news:
“The first season of A House Divided performed incredibly well on UMC. The response we’ve seen from viewers and our subscribers has shown us that this series has developed a very dedicated and passionate audience and they are more than ready for another season of the Sanders family’s antics. We look forward to delivering more juicy storylines and can’t wait to showcase the new dynamic LisaRaye and Parker will bring to the show.”

The show was horribly scripted and poorly acted (with exception to a couple of moments from those with incredible acting skills). However, it doesn’t merit another season and if it isn’t someones relative taking pity to air another season, then the viewership has fallen to another “low”. The show lacked scriptual integrity.. How did it leave the draft board… It was completely “undone” and should have never seen the light of day. It was sloppy. And worse, less than a concept production. Skillful and gifted writers knew (and know) how to leave something for the imagination. This show had gaps wider than the Grand Canyon! And another season? No it should have been put out of its’ misery.
