ABC has cancelled Time After Time with barely a season on the clock, RenewCancelTV has confirmed.
Following poor ratings, the network has axed the time-travel drama after five episodes, replacing it on the schedule with Match Game as of this Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Time After Time will obviously not move forward into Season 2, while it’s currently unclear whether the remaining episodes of Season 1 will ever air. Stay tuned…

This is so true. I would love to see how the show ends at least. I’m tired of these networks starting shows and then cancelling without any warning. I was complaining that the DVR was not recording properly. I hate they cancelled Conviction too.

Should have never had a season 1… if they wanted to remake the 1979 movie.. then remake the movie (that’s what the first 2 episodes were)… but as a series this was dreadful from episode 3.

So sick of this, maybe 90%of my favorite shows have ended prematurely, or still ended this season, after 8 seasons. I am going to ditch cable if this continues. I really liked this show. Any news on Timeless or Frequency?

Was wondering the same thing. I haven’t seen any renewal/cancellation news on either yet. It’s getting to be pointless to start a new show until you know if it’s going to finish the season or be renewed. We get into something and they cancel it and/or pull it from the schedule.

Hi Sandra Gurrola and LindsayDD as far as Timeless it has yet to be renewed or canceled and Frequency has been officially canceled. And I am with y’all I loved all 3 of these shows actually I really enjoy time traveling shows and movies and it seems all of the TV Shows that have involved that storyline this season has been canceled & that is absolutely ridiculous. So many of my favorite shows that I have enjoyed for the past several years have come to an end in the last year as well. Reality TV Shows, Music, Dance and Food TV Shows have taken over the Television it seems. Its like why even start watching a new Pilot series coz here lately hell everything I start watching that dang networks cancel & take off the air within a couple weeks & I am left hangin without any CLOSURE WHAT SO EVER!!

I am so tired of Investing my time tuning into your network to only be disappointed by your cancellations. I don’t get to choose which series are aired, renewed or cancelled; I do however, get to choose what networks to watch in my own home.

.. what a load of hooo-ey… you’ll still tune in and they know it. Truth is you probably don’t even notice what network something is on until it’s gone. The big 3/4 networks have always had this issue. They run shows like Grey Anatomy for 15 years even though it died 10 years ago because the “formula” they use to write it is cheap and easy… new shows have to be SMASH hits for them to really invest in and this show was lackluster at best.

I liked the idea of the series but wasn’t thrilled by all the psychotic violence and killing. That said, it had been improving and certainly could have become really good given a chance. One more show where I invested the time to get into it only to have it murdered in the cradle. I still have PTSD about Brimstone and Firefly, so many since then, probably cheaper and less traumatic at this point to drop cable and rent/buy from an internet service once one knows that a given series survived.

One thing about ABC is that they do not give shows much of a chance. Notorious, Conviction and now Time After Time, too bad. All 3 of these were uncomplicated and entertaining shows with likable characters and you guys just decided to take them off. You leave shows like Quantico, Once Upon a Time and American Crime which require masters degrees to follow. Then you go in the other direction with mindless comedies. No wonder CBS is still on top and that NBC is now catching up. Take a look at what they are doing right and figure it out. The Thursday night lineup, Dancing With The Stars and Designated Survivor are the only shows you have on that are watchable.

I really liked the show, because I really like the 2 main actors. I am disappointed. But hopefully I will see them somewhere else. It seems like they hardly give a show time to build an audience. I am just about completely done with network television.

NO MORE REALITY SHOWS!!!!! I’m with the rest of the commenters in as much as every new show in the last few years that I’ve watched was cancelled after the first season, while the very annoying reality shows live on and on…. What the F—!!!! I’m to the point where I’m ready to STOP WATCHING NETWORK SHOWS and just switch to Amazon, Hulu, Netflix…The big networks need to really start listening to the people who watch and support their networks and stop relying on polls!!!

Time After Time was a great show!!! It was very entertaining and the characters very interesting. The actors and actresses did a wonderful job. Yep, just pull the plug on all the great shows! Then, they will be nothing good to watch on you channel! Time travel tv shows and movies are very entertaining. Reality shows are not. The main thing, I’ve noticed, about reality shows, is it just shows how stupid and mean some people can really be.

I don’t know about anyone else but I thought it was a great show that I really thought had a good chance to make it. I thought the characters were well played having had an interest in the history of Jack the Ripper and loved the extra fact of his great grand daughter was nice and added another dimension. I wish someone else would pick it up.

Reality shows are the ONLY thing on TV that isn’t using a tired old formula and isn’t overly predictable. Sure they are all “massaged” by producers, but at least you can’t foretell EVERYTHING that’s going to happen.
Seriously REALITY SHOWS ARE THE ONLY GOOD TV ANY MORE on the big 3 networks.

I liked time after time,all you networks want to put on is stupid game shows or reality shows. I don’t watch either. I am going back to reading. Why bother watching a new series,as soon as I get interested it gets canceled.
