Sky Atlantic has delayed the Season 2 premiere of The Tunnel (aka The Tunnel: Sabotage) in wake of today’s terror attacks in Belgium.
Per RadioTimes, the broadcaster has decided that the second season – which depicts an attack on a British airliner in episode one – should be pulled from the schedule following the horrific events at Zaventen airport and Maelbeek Station in Brussels.
The Tunnel Season 2 premiere, originally scheduled to air April 5, will now launch Tuesday April 12 at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
A Sky spokesperson confirmed:
“In light of the tragic events in Brussels, Sky Atlantic has decided to postpone the launch of The Tunnel: Sabotage as a mark of respect. The drama, which contains fictitious scenes of terrorism, will now broadcast on 12th April at 9pm.”
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of The Tunnel…
