BRAVO MEDIA SETS PREMIERE DATE FOR
SECOND SCRIPTED SERIES “ODD MOM OUT”
AND GREENLIGHTS SEVEN NEW AND RETURNING SERIES
Bravo and Universal Cable Productions Announce Development of
Scripted Project “The One” From Executive Producer Charlize Theron
Network Ranks As #9 Ad Supported Cable Entertainment Network in 2014
PASADENA, CA – January 15, 2015 – Following Bravo Media’s success in 2014 ranking as the #9 ad supported cable entertainment network among adults 18-49 and 25-54, the network announced today that the second original scripted series, “Odd Mom Out,” will premiere on Monday, June 8th. The network also unveiled greenlights for returning series Emmy-nominated “Flipping Out,” “Married to Medicine” and “The Real Housewives of Orange County” as well as premiere dates for “Shahs of Sunset,” “Newlyweds: The First Year,” “Southern Charm” and Emmy-nominated “Million Dollar Listing New York.” Furthermore, Bravo expands its scripted slate with the development of “The One,” from executive producer Charlize Theron and Universal Cable Productions enhancing the network’s high quality original line-up.
The 10 episode half-hour comedy, “Odd Mom Out,” stars acclaimed author Jill Kargman playing a satirical version of herself as she navigates the treacherous and elite ecosystem of New York’s Upper East Side, and the uber-wealthy mommy clique inhabiting this fantastically outrageous domain. A New Yorker through and through, Jill Weber (Kargman) embraces her quirky and somewhat unconventional life with her loving husband, Andy (Andy Buckley, “The Office”) and three great kids. Jill’s frenemies and in-laws only fuel the pressure for her to conform, including the status-obsessed family matriarch, Candace (Joanna Cassidy, “Six Feet Under”), brother-in-law Lex (Sean Kleier, “Madam Secretary”) and his wife, Brooke (Abby Elliott, “Saturday Night Live”), who reigns over a group of quintessential Upper East Side mombots with an iron credit card.
Last year’s new and returning high quality originals drove Bravo to earn its best quarter (1Q 2014), month (January 2014), week (2/3/14-2/9/14) and day (5/4/14) in network history among total viewers in prime. More than any year before, Bravo’s original programming boasted 30 shows in which one or more telecasts attracted more than one million total viewers (vs. 28 in 2013) and 15 shows in which one or more telecasts delivered more than two million total viewers (vs. 13 in 2013). Bravo maintains the most upscale and educated ad supported cable entertainment audience in P18-49 and has the #1 most engaging P18-49 audience among ad-supported cable entertainment networks in prime. In addition, Bravo currently ranks as the most loyal cable network on television. BravoTV.com had its best year ever for total video streams increasing 18 percent over the previous year. Additionally, Bravo was a top five most social cable reality network in prime for 2014.
