OXYGEN EXPANDS ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING SLATE W/ 5 NEW & RETURNING SERIES INCLUDING “QUIT YOUR DAY JOB” W/ RANDI ZUCKERBERG & “LIKE A BOSS” W/ NICK CANNON

PASADENA, CA – January 14, 2016 – Continuing its momentum as the youngest women’s network in primetime in 2015, Oxygen Media is growing its original programming slate targeted to multicultural millennials, adding five new, energetic series including “Quit Your Day Job” with Randi Zuckerberg, Ido Leffler, Sarah Prevette and Lauren Maillian, “Like A Boss” executive produced by and featuring Nick Cannon, “#killerpost” featuring dangerous crimes that started with social media, “Preachers of Atlanta,” the newest installment of the popular original franchise and “Living With Funny,” following the lives of up and coming comedians in Hollywood. The groundbreaking series “The Prancing Elites Project” will also return for a second season.

“Oxygen is committed to creating fresh content that engages young, dynamic women who are pushing boundaries, following their passions and navigating new experiences,” said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. “The new programming slate delivers on all fronts and is sure to connect with our millennial audience.”

Oxygen continues to grow at a rapid pace with highly engaged viewers who are watching the network’s true crime programming 77 percent more often versus 2014. Today the network announced it is expanding on the successful “Snapped” franchise, which has experienced double-digit growth in reach year-over-year, and will anchor a new weekend destination for the crime genre. The new “Crime Time” line-up will feature the best episodes of the popular “Snapped” series as well as “Killer Couples” and “She Made Me Do It,” all day Saturdays and Sundays, and will kick off the premiere of the new series “#killerpost,” which premieres on Saturday, January 30 at 9PM ET/PT.

Additionally, with double-digit growth among average monthly unique visitors growing 46 percent year-over-year, Oxygen.com delivered its best fourth quarter ever behind the strength of Very Real, the network’s online destination that features fresh and original content for the everyday millennial.

NEW SERIES PREMIERE DATES:

“#killerpost”

Premieres Saturday, January 30 at 9pm ET/PT

Produced by Jupiter Entertainment with Stephen Land, Deborah Allen and Allison Wallach serving as Executive Producers, along with Edmund Coulthard from Blast! Films.

“#killerpost” profiles true stories of the most jaw-dropping and shocking cases where social media activity has had dangerous and deadly consequences. Although the crimes differ in nature, they all share a common theme – social media posts were the catalysts for deadly repercussions. Through cinematic reenactments of both the crimes and stories behind them – coupled with witness testimonies and expert interviews – each pulse-pounding episode will feature extreme cases in which a post, a poke or even a tweet led to a violent and even deadly result. From a seemingly innocent online connection that ends in homicide to an online feud between best friends that leads to a public physical altercation, viewers will witness how the boundaries between the real and online world are breaking down with shocking results and sometimes fatal outcomes.

“Preachers of Atlanta”

Premieres Wednesday, February 3 at 10pm ET/PT

Produced by L. Plummer Media in association with Relevé Entertainment with Lemuel Plummer, Holly Carter, Chris Costine and Mark Scheibal serving as Executive Producers.

The popular franchise heads to the ATL with “Preachers of Atlanta.” Through the lens of five pastors with drastically different approaches to their ministry, the show explores many of the most hot-button and polarizing issues in America today. From passionate discussions surrounding the validity of unorthodox ministry methods to first-person accounts of the rippling and emotional effects of racial tensions with law enforcement, these unconventional preachers have no boundaries when it comes to tackling real issues that affect real people in their communities. The five preachers challenging the status quo are Pastor Corey Hambrick, Pastor Le’Andria Johnson, Pastor Canton Jones, Pastor Kimberly Jones-Pothier and Pastor Judah Swilley.

“Living with Funny”

Tuesday, March 29 at 9pm ET/PT

Produced by L. Plummer Media with Lemuel Plummer, Chris Costine and Brandon T. Jackson serving as Executive Producers.

The half-hour docu-series showcases the personal lives behind the curtain of rising comedians in Hollywood and the women in their lives — Brandon T. Jackson and fiancée Denise Xavier, DeRay Davis and girlfriends’ Coco & Caro, Michael Blackson and girlfriend Georgia Reign, Erik Rivera and wife Katie Rivera, along with bachelor Adam Hunter. Cameras will follow the howling tale of what happens when these funnymen drop the mic and come home to their family, friends and significant others. Because when you are a comedian, the jokes don’t stop just because the show does.

“Like A Boss”

New Premiere Date: Tuesday, March 29 at 9:30pm ET/PT

Produced by Evolution Media with Douglas Ross, Alex Baskin, Greg Stewart and Jason Sands serving as Executive Producers in association with NCredible Entertainment with Nick Cannon and Michael Goldman serving as Executive Producers.

Executive produced by entertainer and businessman Nick Cannon, the docu-series follows four hardworking and motivated assistants as they look to emulate the success of their respective bosses, but know that it in order to get to the top, they must start at the bottom. Featuring Amber Grimes, assistant to media mogul Nick Cannon; Devin Simpson assistant to successful real estate agent Blair Myers; Rian Parish, assistant to popular radio personality Big Tigger; and Drekia Glenn assistant to music executive Abou “Bu” Thiam, these protégés are out to prove they have the drive, focus and ambition to be a future CEO. Talent can only take this group so far, however, as they struggle to balance their personal and professional lives with the tempting Atlanta social scene surrounding them. From cleaning cars to house hunting and everything in between, these up-and-comers know they are one wrong coffee order away from a pink slip.

“Quit Your Day Job”

Premieres Wednesday, March 30 at 10pm ET/PT

Produced by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company, with Philip D. Segal, Jeff Conroy, Jeff Bumgarner, and Kevin Williams serving as Executive Producers.

Oxygen gets down to business with “Quit Your Day Job,” an immersive new docuseries exploring the exciting world of entrepreneurship through the leadership of tech mogul Randi Zuckerberg, consumer products tycoon Ido Leffler, start-up advocate Sarah Prevette, and master marketer Lauren Maillian. The eight-episode series features aspiring millennial entrepreneurs who receive the life-changing opportunity to pitch themselves and their innovative ideas to the angel financiers. The investment club will use their business expertise, industry knowledge and creative vision to determine which up-and-coming products have the potential to be the next big thing. The investors will provide on-site, hands-on mentoring to the young professionals, who must prove they have what it takes to turn their concept into a viable business. Lea Goldman, the Executive Editor of Marie Claire Magazine, will also provide business tips to the entrepreneurs and viewers in each episode.

RETURNING SERIES PREMIERE DATES:

“The Prancing Elites Project” Season Two

Premieres Tuesday, January 19 at 8pm ET/PT

“The Prancing Elites Project” is produced by Crazy Legs Productions with Tom Cappello, Sara Quick, Brandon Wilson and Alana Goldstein serving as Executive Producers.

The uplifting and empowering docu-series “The Prancing Elites Project” returns for its sophomore season with all five original members – Adrian Clemons, Kentrell Collins, Kareem Davis, Jerel Maddox and Tim Smith. The team has begun to defy the odds and find success and acceptance in the South, but as they head home to hone their skills, they start exploring who they are as individuals pulling their focus away from the group. Performance invitations come in, but with each Elite dedicating less time to the team, Kentrell is realizing their biggest competitor might just be themselves.
