The Legend of Mick Dodge may have been cancelled at Nat Geo after three seasons, but the reality show is being ‘revived’ for a spinoff series.
Host Mick Dodge has confirmed that filming is currently underway for a “new show” that will explore the “deeper story” of the axed Nat Geo series:
Brian Scope the producer of the Nat Geo told his version of life here in the Olympic Mountains. So he controlled the telling of the story. There is a deeper story in these lands that he was not interested or could not grasp. So many incredible people doing amazing things. But the beauty of these lands did shine through and that was my intent in participating in the filming. What we are doing now, may bore others, may not. We have another version with less drama and more fun.
A title, network and air date for the Legend of Mick Dodge spinoff series have yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned…

“Less drama” … there was drama in the original series? It seemed to be really mostly passing amusement more than “drama” hmm… maybe I missed the “drama”. It was a decent thing to stop on when flipping channels, but it’s not like I waited for a new episode each week. Can’t imagine any new “spin off” will be any more compelling.

I love this show. I can’t wait for Mick Dodge to return. I have never missed an episode. I record all of them to make sure I don’t miss one just in case I’m not home when it comes on. I hope I know when it is going to air again and what channel.
