Damon Lindelof has called on The Leftovers’ fans to harass HBO for a third season, but says he doesn’t have a renewal decision timbetable, as the show enters the uncertain realm that is limbo.
Speaking to TVLine, he said:
I don’t have a timetable… HBO loves the show. My hope is that the finale is well received, and that there is a good feeling about the season that extends into the first couple weeks of December. And then we can ride that wave into a pickup. I will say this: If you are a fan of The Leftovers, let should let your voice be heard.
Lindelof also offered couple of small pitches for what fans could see in that potential third season:
The one thing that I would say to you is that Scott Glenn is a starting pitcher that we have used as a relieving pitcher. I would really like to see some more of Kevin Senior. And not just in the present, but in the past.
Adding, per Variety:
Don’t really want to talk about a season three creative plan until there is a season three, but I think it would be incredibly cruel to both the audience and Janel Moloney to put Mary back to sleep. In fact, I think she’ll just stop sleeping all together so that she can binge watch all the excellent TV shows she missed while she was unconscious.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of The Leftovers Season 3…
