The previously announced season 8 will be the final season for Arrow on The CW. The eighth season will have 10 episodes and air later this fall according to Stephen Amell.
Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever.
Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall.
There’s so much to say… for now I just want to say thank you.
— Stephen Amell (@StephenAmell) March 6, 2019
The news was also confirmed by the executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz:
“This was a difficult decision to come to, but like every hard decision we’ve made for the past seven years, it was with the best interests of ‘Arrow’ in mind. We’re heartened by the fact that ‘Arrow’ has birthed an entire universe of shows that will continue on for many years to come. We’re excited about crafting a conclusion that honors the show, its characters and its legacy and are grateful to all the writers, producers, actors, and — more importantly — the incredible crew that has sustained us and the show for over seven years.”
RIP.

Why cancel it for it’s a great program & I’ve enjoyed watching it, I look forward to the next episode, why don’t you do more seasons.

Arrow is ending because Stephen Amell HIMSELF wanted to stop doing the show which he explained on his Facebook video.

I discovered this show late last year while flipping through channels. Of course I then had to go to Netflix and binge watch ALL the seasons and episodes . I became addicted to the show and the characters and am binging the third time awaiting Season 8 on Netflix. I am REALLY REALLY sad and disappointed that this show is being cancelled. It is the only show if this kind that I’ve EVER watched and I was really enjoying it. SOMEBODY ought to give this some serious thought and UNCANCEL this show!

Who needs Oliver? Let the handsome Rory take the lead with the new younger offspring and the newly found Felicity!

I for one will be glad its finished. Its getting harder and harder to follow and as there is only one season left, I may watch it to see how it ends. Too many villains and after eradicating one another pops up.
I loved the first few seasons or so, but then it went rogue.

I totally agree, too much science fiction imho.
1 season to many.
