CW boss Mark Pedowitz is ‘confident’ about The 100‘s Season 4 renewal prospects.
While network lip-service should always be taken with a bucket or three of salt, Pedowitz says the show is performing well on Netflix, which can often be a key difference-maker in terms of bringing more revenue and a wider audience.
As Variety reports:
Pedowitz is confident, regarding the show’s future. (Season 3 begins on Jan. 21.) Aside from having a passionate, Twitter-friendly fan base, the prez shared that “The 100” is doing very well on Netflix, widening its viewership. “One of our strategies moves we made was to hold it back for midseason to allow year two to go up on Netflix. And it’s performing, I just was told before I got onstage, very, very well in terms of binging for Seasons 1 and 2.”
