We broke the news last month, now it’s official. NBC has cancelled Taxi Brooklyn after one season.
Confirmation that the network will not be driving forward Taxi Brooklyn Season 2 came with the announcement that co-star Chyler Leigh has joined CBS’ Supergirl as a series regular.
Taxi Brooklyn‘s belated cancellation was always on the cards after NBC refused to confirm the show’s status for months following its Season 1 finale on September 10, 2014.
Making matters worse, Taxi Brooklyn ends on a big cliffhanger that will now go unresolved.
RIP.

WORST CLIFFHANGER IN TV HISTORY WHAT A JOKE NOT JUST ONE CLIFFHANGER BUT 5 IN ONE EPISODE

I just watched taxi brooklyn episodes on netflex i really enjoyed it do not like how it ended it was good how about seasson 2
Ecas says
Another bites the dust. I can’t believe NBC cancelled it. It was a good show
CactusThorn says
i don’t understand why show writers think they need cliffhangers. If a show is worth renewing, its fans will come back next season without any cliffhanger. But if renewal doesn’t happen, the network ends up with a bunch of fans PO’d at it.

who the hell is determining what is good and what bad this was a great show and they have to cancel it why don’t the cancel the stupid shows like SCANDLE , THE BACHLOR, really tv has gone to hell these days .

Agreed. This was an EXCELLENT show, that was a “much watch” every week, even when it was on during the summer. This show could capture an audience even if it was on during the regular season. Way better than some of the garbage they trot out. Imagine this on Thursday night leading into Blacklist. Talk about a great line-up. But no…. BS !!!
Stv says
I guess it’s easier to see why so many shows get cancelled so quickly. The crap that hits the air is hard to watch, then a show like this come on, with hardly any promos, and also gets cancelled. This was an excellent show. I wish there was a way to ring someone’s neck & get this back on the air.

I loved this show. It’s total b.s., wish another cable network would pick it up.
Darla Wheeler says
This is total bull. Need to pay her more to come back to Taxi Brooklyn. There will be a lot of people watching CBS more than NBC. Don’t need cliffhangers un resolved. Please bring the show back. We are begging you.
Meraxes says
Typical NBC style. Me thinks the execs who work at NBC are trying to feed a coke addict or something. At this point, any self respecting truly creative writer & producer (show runners) needs to make sure when they produce a show this good, they get a 2 season contract that creates viewer closure or a contract that secures their presence as a web series. That’s why the majority of non network stations are so far superior to networks like NBC!!
cira claypool says
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING MERAXES ( COMMENTATOR ABOVE ) SAYS. EVERYONE I KNOW THAT WATCHED , LOVED THE SHOW. YOU KNOW I AM ABOUT TO STOP WATCHING ANYTHING AIRING ON NBC. THEY JUST CANCEL FOR NO REASON.
Kim Brown says
It was a really good show! Another Network should pick it up!
Chris says
I believe that if a company decides to scrap a show after the season has ended on a cliffhanger, the company should by law, be obliged to make another one or two episodes to at least conclude the story or stories in this case. Then at least the public aren’t left high n dry. With series being available online (Netflix for example) and in stores on DVD more and more people are turning away from the TV and not watching single episodes, instead waiting until the series is all available, making up their minds then if the series has been continued or cancelled.
sixxkiller says
This is why it is getting harder for me to even watch shows like this because every time I get into a show it ends up canceled and leaving us all hanging.
NBC is always doing this to us, they keep the dumb showing that totally suck and cancel all of the good shows. I’m just about ready to boycott NBC and if everyone strarted doing that then maybe they would start listening to there viewers and keep the great series going instead of leaving us all hanging like they seem to love doing to there viewers. What does everyone think?
Carlos says
I love that show what the fuck is wrong with y’all it was great bring it back now
nick sogge says
Oh my god. This is ridiculous… This is not good for NBC! NOT SMART! People are going to go elsewhere for TV shows/series due to the fact they don’t want to get into a TV show and then possibly have it cancelled. Think about it. Just sayin…
garry says
this really sucks i liked this series a lot
jim driver says
This was a good show…..bring it back…why do you people cancel the shows that brings viewers to your network?
Jacqueline Satterlee says

Angel says

Mary RC says

Marlene says
Ok so it has been a while but why not reconsider? Come on – restart!
Khatoon Musani says

Kevin says
