E4 takes smash hit Tattoo Fixers On Holiday and extends to body fixing
E4 has commissioned Studio Lambert to make two brand new ‘Fixer’ series, following on from the recent smash hit Tattoo Fixers.
Holiday Tattoo Fixers is a 6×60 series which will see tattooists Jay, Sketch, Alice and receptionist Paisley set up their pop-up shop in the sunny Mediterranean for the summer season. With summer holidays proving to be the source of so many legendary tattoo disasters, the team will be on hand to fix the most absurd and outrageous tattoo fails to ensure holidaymakers leave their annual stay in the sun with etchings to be proud of, rather than inkings of shame.
E4 has also today announced Body Fixers, a 10×60 one stop shop where people with extreme, shocking and downright hilarious beauty and style fails can come to have their problems fixed by a team of top young professionals from the world of hair, health & beauty. Whether correcting a dodgy dye job, catastrophic contouring or a treacherous trout pout, the Body Fixer team will transform their botched bods and not only fix their problem, but also give them a total restyle.
Series 2 of Tattoo Fixers is currently consolidating at 1.2m/4.43% share and outperforming the E4 slot average – up 66% and 51% volume and share respectively. The fifth episode brought in an overnight audience of 1.05m, its highest ever overnight audience. The share of 16 – 34s is also up 46% on E4 slot average.
Both series were commissioned by Dom Bird, Head of Formats and Simone Haywood, Editor, Formats for Channel 4. Holiday Tattoo Fixers will be executive produced by Matt J. Smith and Tim Harcourt and Body Fixers will be executive produced by Harcourt and Mike Cotton.
Dom Bird comments, “Tattoo Fixers has already proven itself to be one of the biggest entertainment shows on any digital channel this year and we are delighted to be taking our team to the spiritual home of terrible tattoo decisions. In parallel, Body Fixers will offer a complete service to solve only the most outrageous hair and beauty fails, promising to completely transform those most in need of a cure to their personal beauty nightmares.”
Studio Lambert’s Creative Director Tim Harcourt said, “We are having a lot of fun growing the tattoos brand for E4 and it’s great we can now showcase the real holiday experience for young people in 2016 – sun, sex, sea and last but not least, tattoos. Similarly it’s only natural that we extend the saving efforts of the tattoo fixers to professionals in the beauty industry. They’ll now have the chance to rescue hairdo horror shows, fake tan shockers and even body modifications that are no longer easy on the eye.”
