Taboo will end after Season 3, creator Steven Knight has confirmed.
Speaking to Huff Post UK, Knight revealed that the FX/BBC period drama will not extend to Season 4, noting that there’s only three seasons of story:
“I can feel the three acts. The first was ‘the escape’. The second will be ‘the journey’ and the third will be ‘the arrival’, and that’ll be it. I don’t think the story will be what viewers are expecting, but hopefully they’ll enjoy it.”
Taboo Season 2 is slated to release early 2018, with Season 3 (renewal permitting) concluding the series on its ‘own terms’ in 2019.
Are you happy with the plan for Taboo? Should the series not be limited to three seasons? Hoping plans change?
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the survival process of Taboo…
