Van Helsing has been renewed by the SyFy channel for a fourth season.
Before season 3 has even finished (it’s finale airs Friday, December 28, 2019), the show, which is based on Dracula lore, has been given an order for another 13-episode season to be filmed early next year. There is one major change, as the drama’s writer/executive producer Jonathan Walker will replace Neil LaBute as showrunner.
“Having been in the writing room on Van Helsing since Season 1 I’m excited to take the reins as showrunner from Neil LaBute,” Walker said in a statement. “Season 4 will delve deeper into the iconic lore of the vampires and their ultimate goals for this world. New villains will rise along with unexpected heroes joining the fight. We have a fantastic build planned for this season and I’m thrilled to share it with our dedicated fans.”
