Maybe this is good news for Game Of Thrones fans (although it likely wasn’t much of a distraction), but it’s sad news for any fans of the freshman series Nightflyers.
Multiple sources confirmed that Nightflyers has been cancelled after a single season. The series was based off one of Martin’s novellas of the same name from the 1980’s, which also produced a film in 1987.
In an effort to create some buzz for Nightflyers, Syfy released the entire series on Dec. 2 on its digital platforms and aired the series over 10 consecutive nights on its television network. Additionally, the show was also released in its entirety on Netflix on February 1st. The December 13th season / series finale drew less than a half million live viewers.
RIP.

Good. I know this isn’t anything like Game of Thrones but I was seriously disappointed in this show and I was so looking forward from all the hype leading up to it.
Still with GoT being one of the best shows in television history, I am sure George R R Martin has more up his sleeve.
Can’t wait for the final season.
