Suits still has the second half of Season 7 to run, but what about Season 8?
Speaking to Deadline, creator Aaron Korsh admitted that the USA legal drama’s future is uncertain, but feels “highly confident” the show will be renewed for an eighth season in the months ahead:
I’m always operating under the assumption that we’ll be back next year. It’s never been wrong yet, obviously one day it will be wrong and when that time comes, I’ll know well in advance. We always try to end on something that’s an end of a chapter, not the end of a series. I’m highly confident that we’ll be back for season 8, so I’m planning it as end of chapter.
On cast contracts being up at the end of Season 7, and how this may influence any renewal/cancellation of the series:
There’s a lot of different ones of them. They all have things going on in their lives, we’ll see what happens. This is true on all long-running shows, and people have things happening in their lives. When Gina left, I could not have predicted that the way her life was going. She loved being on the show, and we loved having her on the show, that’s why we’re doing the spinoff. I would never have guessed that she would want to leave early but she did, and it ended up working out. Even though she left early, look at how often we still see Jessica throughout season six and seven. I’m going to let what happens happens and hope it all works out.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of Suits Season 8 on USA Network…

I certainly hope they keep renewing “Suits” for many seasons to come. It is one of 2 or 3 (at most) that I still watch on USA Network. They cancelled “Roya; Pains” already and the only other show I love is “Colony”. “Falling Water” started out Ok but has become boring. If they cancel “Suits” and “Colony” there will be no shows left on USA for me to watch.

I love Suits especially now that they’re actually working on cases again. I can see the show going a long way but I do have to say the only thing I don’t like is taking God’s name in vain. The show has so much going for it and I don’t understand why the writers feel it’s necessary for every actor to curse in that manner.

One of my favorite shows. Please renew it.
