FOX has put into development a new couples dancing series, theoretically leaving So You Think You Can Dance Season 13 with the cancellation chills.
However, per Deadline, insiders say the two shows could coexist due to their contrasting concepts, meaning SYTYCD remains in limbo (for now) but not yet out of the renewal rat race:
Fox is yet to decide whether to order a 13th season of its dancing competition series So You Think You Can Dance. Insiders stress that a pickup for the new project won’t necessarily affect SYTYCD‘s renewal chances as one focuses on couples and their relationships and the other on discovering young dancing talent.
So You Think You Can Dance Cancelled Or Renewed For Season 13?

Please renew “So you think you can dance”- it is the best dancing show on TV that has given a platform for so many young dancers. For some, it isn’t just a hobby, but a way of life. For others, it’s given them something to strive towards and it’s turned their lives around and made them better. Please don’t derive them of that chance. Bring back SYTYCD- it has the fanbase to back up it.

I absolutely love SYTYCD! PLEASE DO NOT Cancel SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! Nigel Lythgoe has done an excellent job of introducing many different dance styles as well as choreographers to the rest of the world! Because of this show, I believe that people have developed a greater appreciation of Dance as a wonderful art form.

The best dance show ever on TV. Great dancers giving great choreographers the chance to do great performances. No where on TV has this ever been done and certainly better that any other dance competition on TV or elsewhere.
So informative to the public and the art world. It would be a real lack of artistic concern and patronage for this to be cancelled.
