FOX has yet to officially confirm the fate of Sleepy Hollow, but EP Raven Metzner is confident that tonight’s finale can serve as either a season or series ender, per EW:
“We’ve had a long arc for Ichabod Crane and his journey in the modern world, and I think we’re going to see it come to a really powerful fruition. At the same time, he’s going to be placed into a bit of a dire conundrum that, if we have subsequent seasons, he’ll have to work his way out of.”
Metzner also promises a mix of closure and new pathways for Diana’s story
“She’s been on a really interesting journey with her daughter Molly and the whole Witness mantle, and we’re going to see some interesting developments with how that plays out, with the addition of the Lara character and all that complicated future history and present-day history. I think it lands us in a place that is both satisfying and could really have a lot of legs.”
With Sleepy Hollow prepared for both cancellation and Season 5 renewal, stay tuned to find out which way the decision goes…

They would not have introduced a new character in the finale if they were cancelling the show. Live ratings don’t matter much to Fox nowadays and their delayed viewings are high. We will get a season 5 and hopefully on because this is a great show.

Sleepy Hollow has been the best reason for TV the last four seasons. This show needs to remain on Fox next season. There are so many things that need resolving and Tom Mison is a tremendous actor. You already have enough crappy shows, allow the people one good show on your channel. I haven’t missed one episode since the show started so please give us another season of Sleepy Hollow!

Really hope it was just a season finale. Even with Abby gone, it was still just as good. I think they could keep this going for a while!

MUST….NOT…CANCEL!! Its rare to have a show that is so fun to watch. Not interested in reality hillbillies. This show has an interesting story. There are some of us out here who still enjoy that. Plus the historical facts, are accurate. Well written show!!

Tom Mison is a tremendous actor. I really think it would be a bad decision on FOX not to renew. I have pushed for 3 years to keep it alive, Please don’t disappoint!!!!
