Sleepy Hollow killed off a major character in its Season 3 finale. However, despite fan anguish and widespread disdain, the supernatural series is reportedly in talks with FOX for a Season 4 renewal.
Relentless as he is, the cancellation reaper would very much like to sink his axe into Sleepy, but he’s curious – would YOU watch Sleepy Hollow Season 4 if the renewal gods allowed it?

I refuse to watch anymore. I will review my season 1 and 2 DVDs, but they have disrespected a talented actress and practically forced her to leave while cynically stringing the fans along to artificially boost their ratings. I will not even rewatch on Hulu – they have had enough of my time and loyalty.

The people who want it cancelled, who don’t you just stop watching or go find another show that will entertain you. Some of us still love Sleepy Hollow and want to see it go on. Look I’m sorry for what happened to your favourite character, but there are other characters that are loved as well. Hard as it may seem Abbie wasn’t for everybody. Ichabod is the reason I watch. Why are you taking the show away from me just because you want to punish a few writers. Seriously what have I ever done to you.
I went through this fiasco last year when Katrina’s fans wanted the show cancelled because she was killed, if I remember right Ichabbies laughed and bullied them. Mocked them for wanting the show cancelled and ruining it for everyone else, losing people on the show their jobs. Irony to find this year the Ichabbies are in the same position only they don’t have the otherside to bully and laugh at them. Now it’s Ichabbies that want people to lose their jobs because their favourite got killed.

Darling,it is not just the Ichabbies. There are noted critics and others who know trash when they see it. Maybe you should consider get another cartharic instead of relying on a trifling TV show to help you along.

Be realistic. The season 3 ratings were bad and if Fox had any sense, they would have wrapped up season 3 into a good series finale that would have made fans happy to have stuck it out. But Fox tanked what was left of Sleepy Hollow. The already dismal ratings of season 3 will drop to practically non-existent ratings if there is a season 4. Fox cannot make money off a show that only a few people will now watch. Unless Fox can pull off a miracle and get NB back to do a short and final season 4 to fix the mess they made with the season 3 finale, then a season 4 has zero chance of being even a little successful.

Kill it and kill it again. The fool comparing a b-character (Katrina) to the lead, Abbie Mills, can have a seat. Like comparing Dana Scully to Diana Fowley in X-Files. Plus they retconned their entire mythology just to dispose of the black lead, whom they’ve been disrespecting since the creators left the show.

Cancel. It’s a joke, you don’t kill of the lead character and expect people to watch. The show really wasn’t that great, but Nicole Beharie as Abbie Mills was what kept me coming back, She’s a superb actress and she and Tom Mison had a one-of-a-kind chemistry that is hard to find. That they sidelined Abbie and started to treat her like a side-kick was bad enough. They not only kill her, they completely change the story that it was about the Two Witnesses who were prophesied.
If it gets renewed I’ll enjoy seeing it crash and burn. The writers showed complete contempt for their audience, and the way they treated Nicole as an actress AND her character will come back to haunt them.
The X-Files tried to do the same to Scully but they wised up. Too bad the SH writers/producers couldn’t see what they had…

In response to a main character getting killed off: Remember a little show called “Charmed”? Shannon Doherty left after the 3rd season. This show survived successfully for 5 more seasons!!!!
I just read where Nichole Beharie has wanted to get out of her contract since after the first season, so they found a way for her to do that. Be happy for her and wish her well. Sleepy Hollow can go on without her, as good as she was. There is still Icabod and Jenny and another unnamed witness!!
Please, yes, renew for Season 4!!

I DO think it’s a shame that one of the TWO amazing main characters (Abbie Mills) got killed off. If it was because Nichole Beharie (the actor, not character) wanted out, then I think it’s OK. If it wasn’t her choice, shame on the writers!!
Either way, a shame because she (Nichole Beharie) brought so much to her character and to the whole ” soul – twin” thing with Tom Mison. They had super chemistry, which was a pleasure to watch. She will be VERY missed. The writers will have their work cut out for them, as they will have to re-write the basic storyline of the show. Katherine dying wasn’t really that strange or crippling the story, Abbie however? I don’t know how they can continue the story.

My wife would watch a 4th season. Me? Meh, not so much. In today’s world of television and ratings it’s a shame when writers, producers, etal. can’t see what’s right in front of their faces. Instead of realizing ratings were dropping and giving the fans a great series finale to wrap it up this year, they instead went the predictable way, rolled the dice on a 4th season, and gave us another lame ending with a cliffhanger wannabe for a final show. The Walking Dead? Now that’s how you do a cliffhanger.
