Sherlock: The End? The pendulum has taken another swing in the ‘cancelled’ direction with showrunner Steven Moffat admitting “it would be fine” if the detective drama didn’t return for Season 5, per Broadcast:
The ratings were extremely good so I guess they’ll ask us again, and then we’ll have to see first of all if we have three films we want to make, and then if Benedict and Martin have the time, schedule and inclination.
He continued:
Every year, you’re making a less exciting offer to them: do you want to do more Sherlock? Do you want to do even more Sherlock? Do you want to do even more Sherlock again? It’s not like we haven’t had our reward for doing that show, it’s been such a phenomenon. Not doing it again would be fine. If that was it, then that would be it. None of us will starve in the street – well, I might.”
Is this really the end of Sherlock? Will Season 5 materialize in years to come? Stay tuned as we enter limbo…

I love this Sherlock and I really hope that it returns. The cast is spectacular and I have really gotten attached.I have yet to see that last
episode, but, can’t wait. I was so sad when Mary died, I would say it was a bipolar moment as she was a bad person that I was cheering for. That is great writing and a great set of writers and a wonderful cast. Thank you again for the the wonderful series.
