Showrunner Nick Santora has confirmed plans for Scorpion Season 3 – and beyond – and reveals that a potential ending for the CBS procedural is already in the melting pot.
He told THR:
We always talk generally about long-term. There’s a bit of superstition in that you don’t want to start talking about, “Oh, if we can end this show in season six, seven or eight,” because you are just getting ahead of yourself. We try to survive episode by episode and hope that people can keep watching so the show can stay on the air. Any writer, when they start writing a movie, book or a television series, it has to cross their mind at some point: ‘How does this story end?’ I’ve always had a general thought [about] how I’d love those last few moments of the final episodes to be. We have a general broad idea of where we want these characters and their relationships to go. Hopefully we’ll get enough episodes where we can see them all through.

in a snowstorm they wouldn’t even wear a hat?
You’d have a 6 year old watching a live war?
You can poke so many holes in the storylines you have to just watch and not use your brain at all. It is a cute show

Even though the claims made by Walter O’Brien have not been validated (and some outright disproven), and despite the near comical approach to technology (especially in regards to cryptography), I still really enjoy this show. The actors are very talented, there is actual cultural diversity, and the continual theme of struggling to find your place in the world is one that just about anyone who is human can relate to.
But moving forward, the show needs to really change how they approach technology, because such gross inaccuracies are funny in a CSI Cyber sort of way, and that’s not a good thing. Mr O’Brien is supposedly directly involved with this show. You would think that someone who has an extensive computer background would NEVER allow such glaring technical inaccuracies to fly because it would be bad for business, and especially since the business has the same name as the show itself. For anyone who thinks this would be difficult to do, it’s not: check out a show called Mr. Robot.
