The six-episode series premieres Sunday, June 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Science Channel.

The series will delve into these questions and more by testing claims about how the Apollo 1 fire started; studying one of NASA’s last existing Lunar Lander prototypes that Neil Armstrong trained on; seeking the expertise of one of Hollywood’s most celebrated visual effects directors, Douglas Trumbull (2001: A Space Odyssey); and gaining access to NASA archives to uncover photos and footage never-before-seen by the general public.

I came here regarding the toaster remark on the commercial, and found your comment, and you are absolutely correct! JFK’s Airforce One, which I was fortunate enough to tour when it was on exhibit at the Museum of Flight, was equipped with a microwave oven. Toasters… Please.

MOON LANDING HOAX ! ? I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORKING WITH SOME OF THE GREATEST MINDS OF THE TIME ON THE LEM ( LUNAR EXPLORATORY MODULE ) ! THERE WERE ENGINEERS THAT READ MATH BOOKS LIKE COMICS ! OTHERS, THAT WERE SO BRILLIANT, THEY COULD DO COMPLEX CALCULATIONS IN THEIR HEADS WITHOUT A COMPUTER ! SUCH KNOWLEDGE AND EFFORT WOULD ‘ NEVER ‘ BE WASTED ON A ‘ HOAX ‘ ! ! ! I just saw the first episode of the series, here’s what happened with the Nazi scientists after WWII…
the Soviets got the Nazi scientists with solid rocket technology for their space program, and the U.S. got the scientists with liquid rocket technology.
OLD news, I’ve known that for 30 years.
But here’s something that makes me decisively believe no humans went to the moon… it’s around 200 degrees on the sunny side of the moon –like standing in an oven.
So how did the astronauts survive without HUGE a/c units strapped to their backs keep them from frying???
Moreover, there’s no atmosphere for an a/c unit to transfer the heat, so an a/c unit wouldn’t have worked anyway.
Maybe oven-like conditions of the moon are addressed in a later episode, so I’ll keep watching…
