Darlene to the rescue? Roughly 72 hours after cancelling Roseanne amid controversy, ABC is looking to possibly keep the franchise alive with a spinoff centered on Sara Gilbert’s acid-tongued single mom.

I really hope they do this. All those jobs at risk because of one persons stupidity is just wrong. Fire the person responsible and continue the show. Remember back is the 80’s they had a dispute with the lead in the show “Valerie” they weren’t able to get the contract done with the star and changed the name to “Valerie’s Family” and then to ‘The Hogan Family” so the show should be allowed to continue without Roseanne and keep all those people working …..

It’s not going to work only as a time slot filler the extreme negative feed back from the remaining members of cast,excluding John and Laurie,has tainted this show

Really? I have deleted all ABC shows from my DVR. They didn’t have anything worth watching anyway. Darleen will only be another left leaning sitcom and will die a quick death. We all knew they would find a way to get rid of the show. Wonder how long it will take ABC to go completely under? When will the left learn we are tired of being beat up, while they are allowed to do whatever they want!

It’s ridiculous because to have gotten rid of Roseanne she apologized and no other liberal is fired for saying worse. I’ve deleted ABC programming as well and will no longer watch that channel for any reason.

I doubt seriously if we would watch it..ABC needs to get rid of the View double standard which isn’t good for any network to take sides. Especially after Roseanne apologized..we rarely watch ABC nothing good on

Well , darlene is okay on the Talk,, as for a tv show sitcom.. ummm no, it would be much better with John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf..as it was darlene was on a bit too much on the Rosanne reboot, nothing against her but I wouldn’t watch her..ABC better wake up and maybe slap Rosanne Barr on the wrist and put the show back on..other people have done worse..its not the end of the world and people should stop being so touchy about people saying things …grow up people people are getting so nit picky..and its getting worse..say your sorries and move on..everyone
