October 16, 2015 – After months of lurking in limbo, it’s finally official – Rookie Blue has, unsurprisingly, been cancelled after six seasons. Per Global TV, there will be no seventh season for the Canadian police drama.

September 4, 2015 – Departing showrunner Tassie Cameron admits that every day without a renewal is another nail on the Rookie Blue Season 7 coffin.

September 3, 2015 – Rookie Blue star admits that filming the Season 6 finale felt like goodbye.

August 4, 2015 – ABC cast further doubt over the future of Rookie Blue by refusing the confirm its interest in Season 7. Network chief Paul Lee salutes the show’s “great run”, but says “we don’t have anything to announce.” With Season 7 seemingly requiring the U.S broadcaster’s input (see finance), Rookie Blue‘s future remains very much up in the air.

July 30, 2015 – EP Tassie Cameron confirms that the first four episodes of Rookie Blue Season 7 have been scripted, but remains uncertain as to the show’s future.

July 29, 2015 – Rookie Blue ends its sixth season in Canada with a decent amount of closure, while also leaving the door open for continuation. Global TV/Shaw Media haven’t yet confirmed a seventh season.

July 2, 2015 – Exec producer Tassie Cameron admits that Rookie Blue Season 7 is still up in the air, and hints that the show’s (Season 6) performance on ABC could be a factor in whether Global renews or cancels.

June 10, 2015 – Shaw Media confirm discussions over a possible seventh season of Rookie Blue are currently taking place with an official decision expected in the next couple of weeks.

June 3, 2015 – Rookie Blue showrunner Tassie Cameron would “love” to do a seventh season but admits the show’s future is still up in the air.

April 13, 2015 –  Global announces that Rookie Blue Season 6 will premiere in Canada on May 21, 2015, a month before the US launch. The news doesn’t specify that Season 6 will be the last in the series, so a seventh season may still be possible, contract negotiations and other hurdles pending.

April 8, 2015 – ABC announces its summer 2015 schedule with Rookie Blue‘s sixth season to premiere June 25. Still no word on whether or not it will be the last season.

March 26, 2015 – ABC president Paul Lee leaves the door open for Rookie Blue Season 7, saying he hopes it sticks around for a “very, very long time,” while showrunner Tassie Cameron says Season 6 will leave some things open for a potential continuation.

July 9, 2014 – Global/ABC decide to split Rookie Blue Season 5 in half, with the remaining 11-episodes to serve as Season 6. No official word on whether Season 6 will be the last in the series.

July 17, 2013 – Global TV and ABC renew Rookie Blue for a super-sized 22-episode fifth season.

    Please keep Rookie Blue, it is my favorite show. Sam and Andy are my favorite but I love all of the actors. I have watched all 63 episodes and I have all of the episodes. All of family and friends also watch the show.

      I think Liz is right and especially about Andy and sam there my favorite couple and am young and some times i wonder if all ever have what they have and that i hope they fall in love making the show because i want them to be so happy of they are like in rookie blue they would be the best but all in all no think a season 7 would be the best i love this show its my all time favorite thing to watch in the world and i hope that the hole cast from season 6 is in the 7 if there is one but for all the actor’s seeing this i love all you guys and i hope you love me and think of te fans you have rookie blue is the best and i say it should stay on air for a few more seasons its called rookie blue for a reason bring in some new rookies maybe a new andy and sam i think i speek for all fans for you to keep it running

    Please renew season RB 7. An excellent show with amazing actors. I love McSwarek and their history full of obstacles, tension and great moments. Ben and Missy are absolutely dedicated to give life to these characters, miserable, happy. Sometimes I think they’re real, I suffer and I enjoy them. We want more.

    Pls dnt cancel Rookie Blue. I have caught a migraine to watch all the episodes to get caught up on to were we r now. This is such a great show. I must say a addictive show i look forward to every week. Andy && Sam r my favss. Dnt gey me wrong i luv all the cast and they are all amazing!!     please renew rookie blue for season 7 . I loved it ever since season one . All the characters are amazing ,and the story lines are great. My favorites are Andy and Sam. Ben bass and Missy peregrym really bring their characters to life. I loved this show so much that i watch it on youtube ahead of time ,cause episodes haven’t aired in the U.S yet only in Canada. It’s my favorite show of all time,and i definately would miss it if it got cancelled

    I must say I’m really addicted to this show I hope they continue it and not cancel it because I would really miss Rookie Blue a lot.

    Please do not cancel Rookie Blues,it is my favorite show I really look forward to it every week.I also record the show and keep watching over and over again.There is other stupid shows they seem to stay on the air and with a show like Rookie Blues that should stay on the air,wrong choice seem, to get made.That is not fair so please renew Rookie Blues,for I am not the only one that feels this way.

    Finance is important but it’s not the only thing. Great show. Great characters and it’s Canadian.
    The complexity of the character Gail Peck is interesting to watch and Charlotte plays her so well.
    Love the relationship development of Sam and Andie.

    I have been enjoying Rookie Blue since it started. Good for Tassie Cameron to put out a quality production. It just bothers me that whenever we get great Canadian productions they last some 5 or 6 seasons and then get cancelled. I realize it has not been totally decided yet however just want you to know it would be sad to have yet another great production leave( flashpoint was another). I certainly hope you think long and hard before cancelling and listen to your fan base. This is a favourite of mine and so many others.

    Please, please keep the series. It is the best show on TV. I don’t care for most of the TV shows on any more but Rookie Blue has had me hooked since season 1. I look forward for the new season each year. I wish it was on during the fall season, and now I hear it may be cancelled. Put it on opposite a reality show during the fall show and I can assure you, you will have more viewers. PLEASE KEEP THE SHOW.

    I adore the cast and characters and the great story lines. I have the first 4 seasons on tape and seasons 5 & 6 on my DVR. I want to buy the DVDs for seasons 5 & 6 so I can watch them on my dvd player when i go to bed at night. Please renew, I think it is a great show and my grand daughter and i watch it together. it appeals to all ages.
