Cancelled TNT procedural Rizzoli & Isles is preparing for its seventh and final season later this year.
However, star Sasha Alexander tells THR that she would have at least considered returning for Season 8 and beyond if the show was revived elsewhere:
I don’t know. It would have to depend on the deal and if it made sense or not. I’ve been working on Shameless for the past couple seasons as well so I’m looking forward to playing different roles but that doesn’t mean that I would have said no. I think it would just really have to depend on the situation because sometimes they move it to a [new] network but then they move you to Vancouver; it doesn’t mean that it would stay the way it is and just continue. This has been a really stellar job because it’s in L.A. and I have kids and so it’s really worked out in a very big way.
However, with the end of Rizzoli and Isles now firmly on the horizon, Alexander believes the show will end on an ‘up’, and is ‘hopeful’ fans will be left satisfied:
I hope so. I think that the truth is that anytime that you change creative direction on a show, it changes the show. Janet had a certain show for four years and Jan continued that, but the show naturally changes and changes with time as well. I believe that Jan will absolutely dig in there and give the fans what I think would be the proper sendoff for these women. I haven’t been given any scripts so I can’t say for sure but I think so. … I think that she will look at this last season and really humanly do what she thinks would be the right direction for the characters.

I had watched every episode of Law and Order, Rizzoli & Isles is just as good keep it on for 20 years than maybe say Good Bye

My husband and I love this show and watch every airing and dvr when we aren’t going to be anywhere we could watch. It is a great show with wonderful actors and good writing. BRING IT BACK or you guys go to another station. We love Major Crimes just after in the same way so leave it alone!! Suzanne

At least you guys were lucky enough to watch the season 7 Finale. TNT failed to allow broadcasting rights into Canada for season 7. Even though season 1 through 6 were broadcasted. Thanks a lot TNT for being MEAN!!!!!!

This figures. Every time there is a really great program on television, they are cancelled by the station geniuses. Those same p people that can’t understand why they can’t get high ratings. I am mystified why no one understands this. Now what? Move them to pay poo error view channels.
I am truly disappointed.
