Ransom has secretly escaped death. The internationally co-produced hostage drama has been revived for Season 2, various sources have informed RenewCancelTV over the past few days.
While Germany’s RTL pulled out of a second season earlier this year, sources say CBS and Global have decided to keep Ransom afloat for a second season, along with the show’s other international producer, France’s TF1.
The 13-episode second season is scheduled to release in 2018, per insiders.
The series follows crisis and hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont, whose team is brought in to save lives when no one else can. Eric understands criminals better than they do, and uses his insight into human behavior to resolve the most difficult kidnap and ransom cases.

I am happy the show was renewed because I hate it when I show is cancelled with a cliffhanger! It looks like the show won’t be available in the USA!!!

This may be one of the shows that would be suited for Netflix
LindsayDD says
So glad CBS changed their minds. Now only if CBS and all the other would do the same for so many of the other canceled shows!

We watched the first season and loved it, then….Maxine was abruptly dropped and replaced by Karen LeBlanc. Why? I’m all for diversity, but if the change was made to enlarge the number of “people of color” in the cast — a woefully shortsighted move — it proves the adage ‘get woke, go broke’. It’s the kind of thing that’s provoking a whole new generation of racism…which many believe is intentional, to divide the people. I’m hoping we get the real lowdown on why the switch — and that’s nothing against Ms. LeBlanc, who’s a good actress. But switching cast members like that is too suspicious. I’m hoping renewcanceltv.com can find out what happened, without insulting our intelligence.
