The Cancellation Reaper might smell blood, but Ed Burns has confirmed story plans for Public Morals Season 2.
The future of the low-rated crime drama is up in the air following its Season 1 finale on Oct. 20, with the creator/actor confirming that he’s “still waiting to get official word” from the cabler.
However, should Season 2 go ahead, Burns already has ideas for the next phase of the story, per Newsday:
“In season one we play a lot with the Irish in Hell’s Kitchen, the Italians in Greenwich Village, and how Yorkville used to be called Germantown. If we’re lucky enough to have season two, we’ll go to the Lower East Side, controlled by Jewish gangsters.”

This is a good show. I hope it gets renewed. More people should have tuned in.
