Dead and buried on CBS barring something of a miracle, yet Person Of Interest has much more story to tell.
Speaking to TVLine, EP Greg Plageman reaffirmed plans to continue to series into Season 6, if not on CBS, then elsewhere, whilst also stating that there’s enough story for seven seasons:
“I dont think [CBS’ decision is] really up to us,” EP Greg Plageman said when I asked for a status report. “But we have always felt like there was more story to tell” — up to and including a seventh season, he insisted.
With that in mind, the sci-fi drama would have three seasons (including the yet to be scheduled fifth season) of ‘organic’ story to run, should it find a good Samaritan to keep it going.
That said, should dead mean dead for POI after Season 5, co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan assures that fans wont be left unfulfilled:
“The way we are crafting the season is that if this is it, if this is the end, I don’t think anyone’s going to leave unsatisfied.”
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of POI Season 6 and beyond…

I really like Person of Interest I do not understand why it was cancelled, because the garbage that is on now is not up,to,standards for viewing , someone needs to cancel CBS and trust me there is a lot of optons out there it’s not like the 50’s when you only had the big three. Here hoping someone comes to their sense and bring it back

They just don’t know what to do with it. They should go back to the original plot where they help individuals in need. Good cast left dangling. They could’ve done well with each person’s background, too.

Hey, CBS! Why don’t you run a new reality show of your board making these decisions. At least then we’ll all know who is about to be fired!! (NOT that I’d watch it, though …)

Seriously this was a great show. I am so sick of what they have on now. Who makes these stupid decisions?

Another bad network decision. Why not make them zombies that compete with swords and daggers wearing gothic make-up?? That would make it just so original and in public demand!! Poor Reese and Harold could chase the ghouls all thru the cemeteries and tombs while Root and Shaw took on the games!
When you have a good show that appeals to an older, more rational audience….networks cancel them because the audience is not in the age demographics that the networks want so to please. Sick of those choices…..network tv does not even attempt to satisfy the older audience (that pays the bills)….all they worry about is the millennials!! CBS cancel another winner show….blend in with the times. Don’t strive to be different and give your audiences a choice. Somehow, I once thought that once you did strive to be different?? or was that Fox??
