Cancelled CBS drama Person Of Interest will wrap its fifth and final season with resolution while leaving the door ajar for a potential reboot in years to come, series star Michael Emerson tells TVGuide:
“The ending, I thought, was really satisfying – and still ever so slightly open-ended, so that if someone, someday wanted to reboot this thing, or have a Chapter 2 of some sort, it wouldn’t be out of the question. There are survivors … [but] not many.”
Adds EP Greg Plageman:
“Never say never.”
However, should the revival gods fail to upload POI Season 6, Emerson believes the show’s final 13-episode run will leave fans (especially those of a serialized persuasion) fulfilled:
“We had to hurry up and end it. They had 13 episodes to turn a very large, slow-moving boat. But I think the idea that we had to do it in 13 was actually a plus rather than a minus. I think it allowed the writers’ room to set aside their need to create palatable side stories or a murder-of-the-week or whatever, and really just get focused on wrapping up the loose ends of this thing.”
Stay tuned as we observe the last rites of POI, and monitor the cancellation graveyard for signs of a Season 6 revival…

I love this show. The good guys have to win!!! I hope it will come back with a second chapter, and not in years, but soon. Have loved the story line and the characters from the beginning. They are so real as far as the good guys wanting to save humanity. I’ve been watching it from the first season just to get a running flow of the story. Now I will be so sad when the story ends. It HAS to have a second chapter soon!!!.
