The BBC has cancelled miniseries Ordeal By Innocence, following multiple rape allegations made against star Ed Westwick.
While the miniseries was set as a one-and-done offering with no Season 2, the BBC has decided to scrap the three-part drama altogether.
The broadcaster said in a statement:
“These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include Ordeal by Innocence in the schedules.

With the greatest of respect your headline is virtually clickbait. A fairer headline would read “Ordeal By Innocence Postponed By BBC Following Ed Westwick Sexual Assault Allegations” you can then say Cancelled if/when he is proved guilty. Remember Innocent until poven Guilty.

Just like White Gold it has not been cancelled, just postponed for now until the allegations are investigated. Far too many misleading headlines being used on this site over this last number of months.
Barry Etheridge says
It was reported as cancelled in all the papers in UK. As I understand it there are still some post-filming contributions Westwick needs to complete which he has abandoned to pursue the case. There is zero chance that this will appear in the schedule for Christmas so cancelled is as good a word as any.
